1. What your browser stores
Aurevorn uses a session cookie for signing in and browser storage for certain settings. Your actual game progress is held on the server. Optional display and convenience settings are written to persistent or session storage only if you enable the remember-settings option. Otherwise they remain in the running application’s memory.
When you close a whisper chat, this browser remembers its closed state per game account in localStorage under aurevorn-chat-closed:{userId}, independently of the remember-display-preferences option. It stores the conversation partner and timestamps and identifiers of the last known messages, not message text. A new message or manually reopening the chat removes that conversation’s marker. Clearing website data also removes these entries.
2. Storage required for the requested feature
The __Host-sid cookie contains a random session identifier. On HTTPS it is Secure and HttpOnly, applies to this domain and has a maximum lifetime of 30 days. Signing out removes it. A signed-in game session is not possible without the session cookie.
The short-lived __Host-oidc cookie binds the return from account sign-in to your browser; it expires after ten minutes and is removed when the flow completes. The account sign-in service uses its own necessary Keycloak cookies for the authentication flow and its session. That session ends after at most 30 days, or seven days of inactivity.
Your choice about remembering settings is stored under aurevorn-idle-remember-preferences. A pending world-project contribution request may temporarily be stored as aurevorn-idle-world-project-pending:{accountId} in session storage to prevent an uncertain response from causing a duplicate action. Similarly, aurevorn-idle-shop-pending:{accountId} holds the account, product, offer revision and request identifiers of an unconfirmed shop purchase. The entry is removed when the outcome is resolved; session storage may survive browser session restoration. These stores support the feature you requested. Strictly necessary storage accesses are covered by Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
3. Optional saved preferences
The remember-settings option allows the convenience stores below. It is voluntary and can be changed here or in Settings at any time. Optional storage accesses rely on your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and, where personal data is involved, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
| Group | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
| Language and chat layout | Selected language and collapsed chat; localStorage until withdrawal or deletion. |
| Tutorials and previously shown prompts | Welcome guide, tutorial and project-animation markers; localStorage until withdrawal or deletion. |
| Merchant and reputation reward choices | Selected merchants and target rewards; localStorage until withdrawal or deletion. |
| Recipe and market filters | Search and filters; sessionStorage for the browsing session. Browsers may restore sessions. |
4. Change your choice and remove data
You can disable remembering settings and remove saved local preferences at any time. Your login, server-side progress and data necessary to safely retry pending actions are kept. Clearing local preferences does not delete your account. Contact info@aurevorn.net for account erasure or other privacy enquiries.
This storage choice concerns preferences in this browser only. Optional server-side game statistics remain disabled without your separate consent. You can voluntarily enable them in account settings or the privacy dialog and withdraw consent there at any time. This analysis does not create additional cookies or browser tracking identifiers; it uses selected events from server-side game processing. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.
